Undoubtedly, the overall quality is slightly lower compared to the CD70, but the bike stands out with commendable features. The paint quality, especially on the tank and engine, is noteworthy. The Chinese 70cc engine offers an extra power boost, noticeable when you hit the road. What truly impressed me, however, was the smooth ride and significantly improved acceleration compared to the CD70.
Examining the bike closely, I found that Express is, in essence, a mirror image of the CD70. The grips on the handlebar are an exact match, and the speedometer gives off a CD70 vibe. The front shocks, slightly larger than those on the CD70, deliver better performance. The rear shocks, though an identical style to the CD70, perform admirably.
In recent times, Chinese motorcycle brands like Super Power, Unique, and High Speed have faced quality issues. Showroom displays often showcase bikes with misaligned handles, tanks, poor throttle and clutch cable response, and subpar paint quality. Express 70, however, stood out among them. I checked around ten bikes at the showroom, and all exhibited smooth clutch and throttle movements with perfectly aligned handles.
My brother purchased the Express 70 approximately two months ago, and the new stickers have recently arrived. The meter cable removal mechanism mirrors that of the CD70, and the installation of a bigger hub and heavy spokes adds to the bike's robustness. According to the showroom owner, the company's founder, once a high-ranking employee at Atlas Honda, ventured into starting his own motorcycle business.
Quality-wise, the CD70 surpasses all Chinese motorcycles in every aspect. While the initial Chinese bikes had their charm, their allure dwindled over time. Express 70, on the other hand, feels like a good replica of the CD70 with an added charm of having a bit more power at your fingertips. From handle grips to the rear seat bar, shocks, silencer fitting, and axle pull-out mechanism, it mimics the CD70. Priced at PKR 98,999, only time will reveal the durability of the Express 70, but for now, it's capturing attention with its promising performance.
